Originally, the Great LMW April Fools Day Prank of 2014, which was a joke about LMW getting sold off to Creepypasta Wiki, was going to be a lot more... offensive, so to speak. Dycaite and I had originally planned to have the joke be LMW getting sold off to Encyclopedia Dramatica, a site that can basically be summed up as "Wikipedia for Trolls".
We were seriously going to do it, too. Until we started having second thoughts. Because of the shoutbox activity having been significantly increased since the inclusion of ED's own missing content as an article on here, we didn't want to do anything that could egg them on even more. Though it should be kept in mind that because the wiki is growing at a steady rate, ED may very well eventually create their own article on us.
We also didn't want to be too offensive. Me being a rabid reader of ED for the lulz, I probably wrote it a little too well.
So, below is the manuscript for what the prank was going to look like. Just a warning: it's written in the style of an ED article. Please be aware that this is in no way to be taken seriously and is being displayed for the curious and for archiving purposes.
GREETINGS SICKFUCKS AND BASEMENT DWELLERS! YOUR PRECIOUS LITTLE WIKI HAS FINALLY BEEN SOLD TO ENCYCLOPEDIA DRAMATICA FOR THE (ADMITTEDLY HIGH) PRICE OF $0.01. YOUR TYRANT AND JEW DICTATOR, AUSSIE FAGGOT DYCAITE SOLD THE SITE TO US AND WE HAVE OFFICIALLY TAKEN OVER. HIPSTER BASEMENT DWELLER AND OCCASIONAL MODERATOR THATSHOEGAZER HAS ALSO SIGNED OFF ON THE DEAL, CALLING IT AN "EXICITING CHANGE".
This is an official remodel. We figured it would be best to keep you sickfucks away from your fapping material. Trust us when we say it’s an upgrade. This place was a run-down internet shithole and we're basically giving it a good, hard kick up the ass. Put up with it, faggots. There's no changing any of this.
