The Undersea Adventures of Captain Nemo is a 1975, Canadian, adventure, environmental, educational, family, children's animated television series. It was co-created by Jean Mathieson and Al Guest with one of the main characters being based on the Captain Nemo character created by Jules Verne. Co-production was between the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and Rainbow Animation Limited. It for a single season and a total of 78 episodes.

Plot[]

An ocean researcher named Mark travels the oceans for exploration and study while being accompanied by a pair of kids, and assistants, named Robbie and Christine. Each episode provides various facts about the ocean, like the oceanography and marine life. The series promotes and provides awareness about such things as the marine ecology, and the importance of taking care of the Earth's water, and why it should be done, among other things.

Although the majority of this series is available on Youtube, 21 of the episodes remain missing. They are: "Killer from the Past", "The Floating Gold Mine", "The Devil's Doorway", "The Mine at the Bottom of the Sea", "Wild Water and Oil", "Shark Patrol", "The Undersea Looters", "The Pearl Snatchers", "Queen of the Deep", "Mystery Triangle", "The Meteorite Shower", "Snake Charmer", "The Five-Armed Thief", "The Invisible Wave", "The Haunted Habitat", "Saved by a Whisker", "When You've Got to Glow", "Charlie to the Rescue", "Sitting on a Fortune", "The Yellow Flood", and "The Hidden World". They all have yet to be found.

Updates[]

Four of the formerly missing episodes: "The Devil's Doorway", "The Undersea Looters", "Killer from the Past", and "The Floating Gold Mine" now are available on Youtube. (10-21-2025).
