The Protagonist and the typist
The World of Power and Women (力と女の世の中) was an animated short film released in Japan on April 13, 1933 that was directed by Kenzo Masaoka. It is the first animated film from Japan to feature voiceovers. No prints of the film are known to exist.
The plot of the film consisted of the protagonist, a father of four children, becoming involved in an affair with a typist at the company he works at, due to being constantly henpecked by his wife. He accidentally reveals this fact to the latter while talking in his sleep. The protagonist's wife then obtains more evidence of the affair and goes to her husband's office to confront both him and the typist.
