The entire world should be familiar with the infamous September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on New York, in which two planes were intentionally flown into the World Trade Center towers, causing the towers to crumble. Following the event, news coverage flooded prime time and warranted the editing of television programming, including several episodes of "Transformers: Robots in Disguise" that were re-edited in order to remove scenes that were considered distasteful for the audience.
Most of the episodes were later released unedited on the DVD boxset by Maximum Entertainment, including the unaired episodes. However, for some reason, the heavily-edited version of "Spychangers to the Rescue" was used for the DVD release. As a result, the original dubbed version has yet to see the light of day. However, the site RIDForever has a transcript of the original version.
In the re-dubbed version, all references to the energy generator exploding are removed, and it's replaced with the threatening to crack open, liberating gas that will corrode the Autobots' circuits.UPDATE SEPTEMBER 24, 2014: The pre-9/11 cut has finally been uploaded on YouTube by ZSL123. Kudos for saving the Transformers fanbase!
