Zak Storm: Super Pirate is a 2016 French-Italian-South Korean-Indonesian-American-Canadian, action-adventure, science-fantasy, CG, animated, television series. It was co-created by Zag Heroez and Man of Action (the latter of which also developed and produced). Other production companies involved were Method Animation, SAMG Animation, MNC Animation, SK Broadband, De Agostini Editore, ON Kids & Family, Zagtoon, Frontier Works Comics, Global World Entertainment, and CJ E&M. It ran for one season and 39 episodes.
Plot[]
A young surf enthusiast named Zak Storm is just out in the ocean, riding the waves one day when he suddenly gets swept away and ends up lost in the Seven Seas of the Bermuda Triangle. There, he meets a diverse group of outcasts who have the same goal in mind: Escape the 7 Seas of the Bermuda Triangle and return to their homes. They decide to form a crew to accomplish their goal and face off against several adversaries, such as skeleton pirates, along the way.

For the longest, there has been mention of a second season supposedly in the works. There have been delays of that happening, with no explanation why that is, and there hadn't been any updates. However, according to the TV Next Season site, the show is cancelled because the French channel, Canal J, chose not to renew it, so it was dropped. It is uncertain and unconfirmed whether the second season is still trying to be planned, and worked out; if the series is being shopped around to other channels, if any other channels will pick it up for airing; or if continuation of the series really has ceased for good altogether, if not only cancelled on Canal J. TV Next Season mentioned it will update that news if the show does happen to be revived somehow.
